Welcome... Haere Mai
Tēnā koutou, Tēnā koutou, Tēnā koutou katoa
A warm welcome to you all on behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of Katikati College. We look forward to working with you in 2019 to ensure the year brings success and achievement to your child/children. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you all to take an active role in your child’s education and learning journey. The importance of family and whānau in the learning partnership cannot be stressed enough.
Uniform rules and expectations will be strongly enforced from the beginning of this year. The school will provide students with uniform items to wear during the day if they do not have them. We will not be issuing uniform passes at all. All items that are not school uniform will be removed from the student and returned at the end of the week. Please support the college in our efforts to improve expectations and consistently apply College rules. We welcome any donations of second hand uniform to support this. A uniform review will be completed in the first part of this year and we will consult our community as part of this review.
We will continue to have high expectations of student behaviour and participation in our learning community in order to ensure a positive, predictable, consistent and safe learning environment for all.
If you have any comments, ideas or suggestions on how we can better meet the needs of our students and community please share them using our Community Suggestion Box on the College Website.

ARC at Katikati College
“ARC stands for Aspiration, Responsibility & Citizenship. It underpins everything we do, everywhere at Katikati College. ARC helps improve the behaviour of all students at our school because we are very clear about what our expectations are, and we teach and learn these expectations. We recognise students when they meet these expectations and give appropriate consequences when they are not met. ARC is for everybody – students and staff alike.”
